Investment Committee

Our Team

IIF’s Investment Committee consists of prominent experts from key industries. From the Fund’s inception until February 2024, the Investment Committee was led by the late Avraham “Baige” Shochat – Israel’s former Minister of Finance and Infrastructure. This group/board offers our portfolio companies unmatched access to developers, financiers, strategic partners, industry experts, contractors, and customers.

Avraham (Baiga) Shochat
Chairman (2007 – Feb 2024)

The late Mr. Shochat was a former Israel Minister of Finance and Minister of Infrastructure and served as Chairman of the Finance and Economics Committees of the Knesset. He held Directorships in a number of prominent Israeli hi-tech, infrastructure, and finance companies.

Ohad Marani

Mr. Marani is a prominent figure in the Israeli economy with substantial experience in the energy and finance sectors. He is a Board member of Bank Leumi, Energean, Tadbik Ltd and a business consultant. Mr. Marani has held a range of senior positions in both government and private sectors, including Director General of the Ministry of Finance, head of the Israel Budget Office, Executive Chairman of the Israeli Oil Refineries, Chairman of the Board of Israel Natural Gas Lines, CEO of Israel Land Development Company-Energy Ltd., and Chairman of the Board of Alumot Investment House.

Jacob Edry (Chairman)

Mr. Edry has over 30 years of experience as a leading executive in major corporations and government related entities in infrastructure, communications, municipalities, transportation & healthcare. In March 2024, he took over the chairmanship of the Investment Committee. He also serves as active Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zephyrus Wing Energies, HaYovel Lines – the concessionaire for Highway 431, and Leumit La’atid.

Amos Epstein

Mr. Epstein is the former Director General of Mekorot, Israel’s water company, and is currently a Director of several prominent companies and organizations in Israel. His long record of accomplishments in public service includes CEO of the Kibbutz Industries Association (1988-1992); CEO of Mekorot Israel’s National Water Company (1995-2004) and CEO of Mei Eden Holdings (2012-2014).

Rami Guzman

Dr. Guzman previously served as Director of Bank Leumi, one of Israel’s largest banks, and consults for several companies in the IT and telecom sectors. He was a Vice President of Motorola Israel from 1985-2004. He also worked for the Ministry of Finance, first as senior assistant and deputy to the Director of the Budget and subsequently as Government-wide MIS and IT Commissioner.

Ika Bash

Mr. Bash initiated Israel’s first significant merger of accounting firms and was appointed as managing partner of the firm Almagor Bash & Co., which was among Israel’s four largest firms and later became part of Deloitte. His specialization is in raising capital. Mr. Bash has also been involved in investments in various companies, serving as a member or chairman of the boards of these companies.

Yehuda Raveh

Yehuda Raveh is a Co-founder of IIF, and the Founder & Managing Partner of Yehuda Raveh & Co one of Israel’s leading commercial law firms. He is an expert in financing for joint public-private projects such as PPPs and BOTs.

Yaron Kestenbaum

Mr. Kestenbaum is IIF’s Co-founder and Managing Partner, as well as a director and advisor to our portfolio companies. He has held senior positions in some of the largest infrastructure projects in Israel. In addition, he has served as Director of the Division for PPP Projects in Israel’s Ministry of Finance and as a member of several inter-ministerial tender committees and managing authorities for such projects.
