Tamar Natural Gas Field
The Tamar natural gas field is located in the Mediterranean Sea, 90 kilometers off Israel’s northern coast.
The field is located at an overall depth of about 5,000 meters below sea level, in waters 1,700 meters deep and contains 283 BCM (10 TCF) of natural gas.

The field produces 252 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d), net, of natural gas, which is piped southward from Tamar to a production platform off the coast of Ashdod. With nearly 100 percent uptime, the Tamar platform provides a clean, reliable source of fuel – currently fueling more than half of Israel’s electricity generation.
